In order to contribute partly to the solution of this important social problem, in 1996 a group of Costa Ricans decided to be united and to create the Foundation for the Patient with Cancer - Hospital Dr R. Calderón Guard-like psychological. www.fundacancer.com. Although our seat is located within this medical center, the Foundation acts with total independence offering support to diverse hospitals, to oncológicos and familiar patients at home level. Day to day, the foundation fortifies more thanks to the altruistic spirit of thousand of Costa Ricans and foreigners who of one or another way, offer their support to this noble cause.

 One is an organization where any lucrative interest does not prevail, desire to solely serve the others, in special to the patients with cancer which they suffer this disease and its families.
They integrate particular, familiar people of patients, doctors, nurses and other professionals. All, without exception, work in form ad honorem and with the greater will to help to the patients of cancer and its families.
To this grouping any person can belong who wishes it. The only requirement is to have much will, vocation, time and to love the fellow, in special to the patient.
FUNDACANCER so that you can publish your personal experiences, thoughts or positive meditations, offer consolation to relatives who are in similar situations, to fortify to the patients with cancer, and everything have been provided with a special section in its Web site what its amiable heart wishes to offer.
